MY GENERATION | Nathaniel Bassey

My generation is in a hurry.

We want everything now now now!

We want it to happen fast and right away or we'll make it happen.

We want the glory, without the story.

We want to be stars, without the scars of discipline.

We want the prize, without paying the price.

We want the limelight without the wilderness experience.

We want thrills and frills, with no substance.

We want to be eulogized without being circumcised.

We want an anointing, without the consecration.

We are controlled by what we see and feel than the voice of the Spirit and the Word.

We want hit songs, without the heat of the Holy Spirit's fire.

We want big platforms to perform, without first being transformed.

We want huge success without going through the process.

We want prosperity, with no posterity.

We want to shine without being refined.

I have news for you. In this Kingdom, the Kingdom of our great God, there is something called ‘the path of life’. A way of glory. It's the journey of dying to self and the flesh. Things don't just happen.

Every man and woman out there, doing great and genuine works in the kingdom are those in the school of the Spirit. In this school, you wait! You are tried, tested, empowered and released unto good works.

Is it Jesus? David? Paul? Or who? Jesus spent 30 years preparing for a ministry of 3.5years. In this kingdom, people don't just emerge. They are first submerged in Christ, where they are transformed.

You want to reflect His glory? You have to behold it first. Common now!

You don't just sow a seed into some person and expect to walk in their level of unction.

Well, in the other kingdom, that of this world, you can package it, work it and engineer it, and it would appear to work. But not here.

God has a room. It is a waiting room.

Psalm 105:19

"Until the time that his word came: the word of the LORD tested him."

Hebrews 10:36.

For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise

You want good success? It has to be based on Joshua 1:8 and Psalm 1.

Please send and share with a young person out there. Especially those in a hurry to make it.

We shall be a wise generation.

REFRESH 1:1 | NOVEMBER 2014

¹ In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

THE Author is also THE Finisher; He only starts what He has finished.

He knows the end from the beginning…and can begin at the end.

A prophecy therefore, is not what He intends to do in time but that which He has done in eternity which we are yet to see in time.

⁴⁵ Not a word failed of any good thing which the Lord had spoken to the house of Israel. All came to pass.

God says what He means and means what He says…

 IF HE said it...it's done...He's TOO faithful to fail.

¹¹ So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.

-         Isaiah 55:11 (NKJV)

³ Now it came to pass in the fortieth year, in the eleventh month, on the first day of the month, that Moses spoke to the children of Israel according to all that the Lord had given him as commandments to them.

It’s time to run even more vigorously with every sure word of prophecy as we insist on their fulfillment.

¹⁸ This charge I commit to you, son Timothy, according to the prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you may wage the good warfare

-         1^st Timothy 1:18 (NKJV)

The number ‘11’ is also the number ‘1’ on another dimension; 

it is ‘1’ with the ‘experience’ of ‘10’.

With the knowledge of how it didn’t work, we can now do it better.

As we play our part, I see God giving us a FRESH START this eleventh month.

God IS Good!

NEW DIMENSIONS, NEW NIGERIA | OCTOBER 2014

¹⁸ “Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. ¹⁹ Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.

- Isaiah 43:18-19 (NKJV)

Though they look the same, the ‘zero’ in ‘01’ and ‘10’ are different in value by virtue of their position. 

The former moves through various levels of increment to achieve the new dimension of the latter. 

May the seeming minute changes in all sectors continue to bring about great increases in value of this nation.

⁵ For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life; weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.

-         Psalm 30:5 (NKJV)

The skies may look alike at 3:00am today as it did at 11:00pm yesterday but it doesn't change the fact that it's morning and the sun is closer to shining now than it was yesterday night.

¹ Arise, shine; for your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you.

² For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the people; but the Lord will arise over you, and His glory will be seen upon you.

-         Isaiah 60:1 (NKJV)

It is possible for the light to have come yet everything seems to indicate otherwise…

¹ When the Lord brought back the captivity of Zion, we were like those who dream. ² Then our mouth was filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing. Then they said among the nations, “The Lord has done great things for them.”

³ The Lord has done great things for us, and we are glad.

-         Psalm 126:1-3 (NKJV)

God is answering the prayers of His children in this nation; there is no gainsaying this. We are becoming the envy of nations…

⁵ And the waters decreased continually until the tenth month. In the tenth month, on the first day of the month, the tops of the mountains were seen.

-         Genesis 8:5 (NKJV)

We may not be where we want to be just yet but we're far from where we used to be.

From this 10th month on, may our TRANSPOSITION from this present level to 

NEW DIMENSIONS, amaze many in the comity of nations!

TwIce Age | A Prayer For Your Birthday

Dear One,

These are my heart’s desires for you on this special day, when you’re a year older, twice your present age or thrice the half of your present age.

I pray that;

Your hair, if gray, will be a crown of splendor, gotten in the way of righteousness. May it be a garland of grace on your head, resplendent in glory and attained as a well-deserved reward for a life well-lived without stress.

Your head will not just be a statistic but a repository of wisdom, knowledge and understanding by virtue of which you’re effortlessly ahead of your peers and contemporaries in your spheres of influence.

Your eyes will not just look, they will see. May someone not have to describe to you what you’re both looking at. May your vision transcend your physical sight and serve as an incentive for the well-being of generations yet unborn.

Your ears will not diminish in keenness as they also serve to give equilibrium. May the need not arise to repeat things over and again to you.

Your nose; ever sensitive, will retain default functions of respiration, perception and voice modulation. May you not have to be fed through this passageway.

Your mouth will serve to instruct many and you’ll be worth hearing. May your lips bear worthy counsel and your words carry weight by virtue of your integrity and authority. A liar is worse than a poor man (Prov. 19:22); may neither terms describe you. May your tongue be well accustomed to life giving fruits and healthy foods. May your “snacks” not have to be pills and drugs. May your smile also gladden you as there won’t be more “vacancies” than necessary.

Your throat will not be confused about whether it leads to the stomach or a bin. May sugar, salt and flour not traverse this path in excess that they become the "three white poisons”.

Your shoulders, spine and entire skeletal system would not be depleted from carrying more flesh than was purposed by design. May your muscular and skeletal systems not suffer from underuse or abuse by virtue of the premium you place on exercise and proper nutrition.

Your lungs will not go on strike. May your breathing not become a painful task. May your respiration remain natural and unaided.

Your heart will not be attacked. May it not grow weary from overwork of pumping more blood than it was designed to. May the rhythm and beat of your heart be music to the ears of the Almighty as coming from a heart that truly pants after Him.

Your hands will be above as a giver to many and not below as a borrower from some. May you be a channel through which abundant resource flows and not a bucket that traps same. May your children, loved ones and even enemies find themselves placing money and precious things in your hands NOT because you need it, but because you’re blessed and they need your blessing. You will NOT be a liability to your children financially. You’ll leave a good inheritance for your children’s children till the fourth generation. May you not need other people’s hands to feed, wear clothes, bathe etc because of paralysis or amputation. May your fingers not reduce in number than what you have presently.

Your digestive system will not fail you; devices and machines would not have to do what these were created to do. You’ll eat and drink without fear of allergy; the foods you avoid would be by volition and not by compulsion. Your food and water is blessed so sickness is far from you (Exodus 23:25).

Your legs will not be feeble. You’ll walk and leave two footprints (preferably left and right) and not three, four, six or those very thin wheel tracks. You’ll not need to be carried to the rest room, your bed, your car etc. May you not walk through this life unnoticed; may the legacies you leave behind cause many to be blessed and bless you. You will NOT be a liability for your children physically – they will not have to pray for you because you’re sick or frail. They will always be inspired by your strength, agility and fitness. May you be twice your age in wisdom, worth and wealth but half your age in vigor, visage and vitality.

Your name will not have negative adjectives like “bereaved”, “hypertensive”, “diabetic” etc. Rather, it will open doors for many. Your brand and person will make it IMPOSSIBLE for your loved ones to be poor in things money can buy, things money can’t buy and in money itself. May people be influenced positively because you were born.

24 The Lord bless you and keep you; 25 The Lord make His face shine upon you, and be gracious to you; 26 The Lord lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace.

Metamorphosis | A Testimony

A new thing has begun,

My change has truly come!

I stepped into this week,

Tagged "feeble" and " weak"

But I'm no longer the same,

I no more bear that name.

What happened? You might say;

How did I turn out this way?

The change seems so drastic,

Some even think it's magic!

The latter looks nothing like the former,

One form so different from the other.

Once only able to squirm and saunter,

I now defy gravity as I flit and flutter.

Those who saw me crawling,

Now marvel at me flying.

Needless to say, it’s God at work.

Ever faithful; He keeps His word.

When His word comes via prophecy,

It means it’s done, we’re just yet to see!

I know I’m not the only one with this testimony,

If you’re reading this, I bet you have the same story!

A change from grass to glory;

Delivered from fear and worry.

Now we’re victorious, no longer vanquished;

Because God doesn’t start what He hasn’t finished!

It's Morphing Time | September 2014

The caterpillar’s main job is to eat…and it’s rather picky on its choice...

…as it's said, “you are what you eat”…

Your words were found, and I ate them, and Your word was to me the joy and rejoicing of my heart; For I am called by Your name, O Lord God of hosts.

-          Jeremiah 15:16 (NKJV)

The caterpillar has to molt several times on its journey to becoming a butterfly…it lets go of the old to embrace the new…

Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

-          Isaiah 43:19 (NKJV)

When it’s time to change into an adult, most caterpillars begin to wander away from what they’ve been eating…

Then the manna ceased on the day after they had eaten the produce of the land; and the children of Israel no longer had manna, but they ate the food of the land of Canaan that year.

-          Joshua 5:12 (NKJV)

The once crawling and eating insect, is transformed into a gorgeous flying insect…what was eaten plays a part...

But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.

-          2^nd Corinthians 3:18 (NKJV)

May this be a month of BEAUTIFUL TRANSFORMATION indeed as you begin to FLY in areas you once crawled.

May this be one September you'll remember for good!

A NEW NAME | AUGUST 2014

And when eight days were accomplished for the circumcising of the child, his name was called Jesus, which was so named of the angel before he was conceived in the womb.

Once a child is named, the identity changes; the infant looks the same BUT the identity IS different...

Sages of old and present times seem to name a child based on the circumstances that occur at the birth of the child...

Jesus was named even before He was conceived; the location or situations surrounding His birth didn't influence the name choice...

    

¹ For Zion's sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp that burneth. 

² And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory: and thou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of the Lord shall name.

 -          Isaiah 62:1-2 (KJV)

 A new name suggests a change of identity; a new identity...

It is a prophecy of one's desired destiny; what you bear, you become...

⁴ Your name will no longer be “Deserted and Childless,” but “Happily Married.” You will please the Lord; your country will be his bride.

A woman, when married may still look the same (at least for a while) but her status and name has changed!

May this eight month be for you, the beginning of a POSITIVE CHANGE OF IDENTITY...

- as an individual and as a nation!

You WILL be called by a NEW NAME!
