Schatzi,

I found myself lost for words for a little while this morning; I didn’t quite know where to start in thanking God for the honour of being married to you.

Proverbs 31:10 asks “Who can find a virtuous woman?” well, I did.

Waking up to see such a beauty as you are, is a blessing I can’t thank God enough for. Your smile is like sunshine way before it is day.

Hearing your dulcet tones in song or speech is simply heavenly.

Your mind is ever brimming with ideas, your heart is ever loving. Your hands are ever diligent and our home is indeed blessed because of you.

You are a gift that keeps giving; you epitomize a life of selflessness. You’re truly a woman of virtue.

Indefatigable; that’s you my love. Constantly brimming with life, a woman of valour, vigour, vim and vitality. You’re my very own Wonder-Woman! Ever resilient like Elastigirl! Shuri got nothing on you! 

Thank you for being such a woman of prayer; I think of you sometimes and it’s as though I should just say “Amen” because I know you’ve been praying.

If it’s true that men don’t often say “I love you”, it might just be because they are not married to a treasure like you.

May you never lose relevance my love. May you continue to be filled with God in a way that people undoubtedly sense God when around you.

For those needs that only God can meet, may they be met in a way that will cause men to praise our God and our Father.

Certain breakthroughs may require just one person mentioning your name to the right person.

We may not be present the day the works of our hands will introduce us to someone else 

but if done excellently; we give such works a voice to speak great things on our behalf.

18 One of the young men said, I have seen a son of Jesse the Bethlehemite who plays skillfully, a valiant man, a man of war, prudent in speech and eloquent, an attractive person; and the Lord is with him.

It’s been said “who you follow, determines what follows you”

WHAT IFS

What if the servant never saw or heard about David or his skill?

What if David wasn’t a man of such reputable character?

What if Jesse’s name elicited doubts or concern from the king?

What if the servant had a “beef” with David and decided not to speak up?

SUGGESTED PRAYERS

Father, help me to be visible to my helpers of destiny. (Genesis 37:15-17)

Father, I receive grace to be diligent in giving voice to my work via excellence. (Matthew 5:16)

Father, please cover my errors and color my efforts. (Psalm 32:1-2)

Father, help me to increase capacity so I don't limit your generosity (Isaiah 54:2-3)

Father, may the lips that bear worthy counsel and have the attention of kings and nobles; mention me for good in the corridors of power. (Daniel 5:10-12)

L.A.M.P | JANUARY 2018

One could say, a great year is like one day lived on purpose, more than 312 times.
Like the seconds build up to the minutes that make the hours; 
so the days build up to the weeks that make the twelve months of the year.

24 This is the day the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.
Psalm 118:24 

12 So teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.
Psalm 90:12

It is in order to expect significant increase from God annually.
Though increase in age yearly is a given; growth yearly needs to be taken (worked on, demanded, deliberately enforced, strategically achieved) - a child willing to be carried tends to show this by lifted hands.
A fruitful tree is more likely to feed many and justify the use of space.

6 He also spoke this parable: “A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard, and he came seeking fruit on it and found none. 
7 Then he said to the keeper of his vineyard, ‘Look, for three years I have come seeking fruit on this fig tree and find none. Cut it down; why does it use up the ground?’ 
8 But he answered and said to him, ‘Sir, let it alone this year also, until I dig around it and fertilize it.
9 And if it bears fruit, well. But if not, after that[a] you can cut it down.’”

May we receive insight to cut off distractions that clutter our days so we have 
Less Activity, More Productivity.


May this be the year we become so good (fruitful, productive, relevant, deliberate, intentional…) that we cannot be ignored.

DELIBERATE PRAISE | DECEMBER 2017

Though the darkness may suggest otherwise, it's in order to say “Good Morning” moments after 12:00am.
Praising at midnight (grateful when it doesn't really seem logical to be) is like rejoicing for a miracle before it is obvious.

25 But at midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them. 
26 Suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone’s chains were loosed.
Acts 16:25-26

5 Let the peoples praise You, O God; let all the peoples praise You.
6 Then the earth shall yield her increase; God, our own God, shall bless us.
7 God shall bless us, and all the ends of the earth shall fear Him.

Conception may be unnoticed but pregnancy can’t be hidden.
Some answers to prayers initiate a process even the recipient may not fully comprehend.
It's wise to prepare for harvest long before it arrives.

1 “Sing, O barren, you who have not borne! Break forth into singing, and cry aloud, you who have not labored with child! For more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married woman,” says the Lord.
2 “Enlarge the place of your tent, and let them stretch out the curtains of your dwellings; do not spare; lengthen your cords, and strengthen your stakes.
3 For you shall expand to the right and to the left, and your descendants will inherit the nations, and make the desolate cities inhabited.

Isaiah 54:1-3

As runners cross the finish line with lifted hands, may reasons to rejoice abound this new month.

May the Deliberate Praises offered this twelfth month rise in acceptance as both gratitude for the blessings received and a memorial ensuring completion of the blessings in process.
