Though the world was being "reformatted", Noah found favor (Gen. 6:8) and was protected from the flood (2 Peter 2:5) because he obeyed (Gen. 6:22 & 7:5).
What if he didn't hear God?

Fishes live in the sea, they obviously didn't need to be in the ark with Noah. To them, the flood must have been a party with an expansion of their territory and loads of food (the sharks must have been particularly delighted).
