TRUST GOD AS YOU WAIT | Keep The Faith

TRUST GOD AS YOU WAIT | Keep The Faith - Inspirational & Motivational Video

This video emphasizes the importance of trusting God during seasons of waiting (0:00).

Key points include:

God's Presence and Power:

Reminding viewers that Jesus is with them in their waiting (0:06) and that God's power is sufficient to fulfill His promises, with any delay being intentional and rooted in loving patience (0:15-0:29).

God's Perfect Timing:

Highlighting that God's timing is perfect, even when ours is not (1:04-1:18). We often think things should happen at a specific time, but we must trust God's greater plan (1:31-2:05).

Embracing the Waiting Period:

Encouraging viewers to pray, read God's word, and learn lessons during seasons of waiting (2:17-2:46). This time is not wasted but is a period where good things and character can grow (2:54-3:34).

Preparation, Not Punishment:

Stressing that waiting is God's way of preparing us, not punishing us (4:43-4:49). It's a time for transformation and developing character (3:47-3:43, 5:10-5:15).

God Knows Best:

Explaining that God sometimes withholds what we ask for because it's not what's best for us, similar to a good parent not giving their children everything they desire if it's destructive (5:48-6:32). He uses this time to mature and develop us, molding us into the image of His son (6:16-6:24, 6:37-6:42).

Surrender and Trust:

Urging viewers to surrender and trust God, letting go of their own timelines and desires, and believing that whatever God is doing in their life is worth the wait (6:47-7:15).

The Quantum Leap Mindset Manifesto - Motivational Speech

The Quantum Leap Mindset Manifesto - Motivational Speech

This motivational speech, "The Quantum Leap Mindset Manifesto," emphasizes the importance of full commitment and taking risks to achieve breakthrough performance. It draws on the teachings of Dr. Price Pritchett and the philosophy of William James to outline strategies for making "quantum leaps" in life.

Here's a summary of the key points:

Commitment and Action: To transform your life, you need to commit fully and act immediately, like "burning the bridges behind you" (0:06-0:17).

Untapped Potential: Everyone has enormous, largely untapped potential in their subconscious mind (0:43-0:48).

The Power of Writing Goals: Writing down goals increases the chances of success by 43% (1:09-1:13, 4:23-4:33). This simple act anchors your intention into the physical world (4:36-4:43).

Aim Big: Avoid thinking too small and limiting yourself by asking "What will the world allow me to do?" (1:25-1:33, 5:21-5:31). Instead, ask "What do I want?" and "What am I willing to commit to making happen?" (5:34-5:40). A quantum leap should scare you and feel like standing on the edge of the unknown (6:10-6:16).

Embrace Failure: Failure is not the opposite of success; it's the process of success (7:03-7:08). Avoiding failure is the biggest failure of all (7:19-7:22). Learn to see failure as feedback and evidence of stretching and growing (8:18-8:20, 9:20-9:29).

Mindset Matters: Reducing negative thinking is more important than increasing positive thinking, as negativity significantly harms your mood, energy, and physical health (10:02-10:12). Optimism is vital for attracting opportunities and luck (18:36-18:44).

Give Yourself Permission: Many people hold themselves back because they don't give themselves permission to pursue big dreams (12:03-12:06). You need to give yourself permission to go "all in" on a heart-driven goal (12:42-12:49).

Embrace Friction and Anti-fragility: Too much comfort leads to stagnation (13:02-13:04). Growth requires friction and resistance, similar to lifting weights (13:17-13:24). Being "anti-fragile" means getting stronger from stress and chaos (13:47-14:24).

Distinguishing Persistence from Quitting: Know when to "fold" and when to persist (14:59-15:05). If your heart is no longer in a goal, it may not be your true path (15:46-15:48).

Luck and Clarity: While some luck is circumstantial, you can invite more luck by telling it what you want through clear, specific goals (18:19-18:30), being an optimist (18:36-18:44), staying in circulation and making new connections (18:54-19:15), giving your deep mind space for intuition (19:15-19:36), and creating luck for others (19:39-20:01).

The U Squared Method (Four-Part Framework):
    1.  Set a massive heart-driven aiming point: Choose a big, exciting, and scary goal that is truly yours (20:22-20:42).
    2.  Pursue it relentlessly: Treat every failure as feedback and keep moving forward (20:44-21:00).
    3.  Do the necessary mind work: Discipline your thinking, block negative thoughts, and cultivate optimism (21:02-21:22).
    4.  Track your progress: Write things down and keep score to stay accountable (21:24-21:40).

Ultimate Truths: You are the most powerful person in your life, you have an extraordinary capacity for change, and you are the solution to your future (22:47-23:14). Greatness is about daring, risking, and refusing to leave your potential unused (23:15-23:33).

DON'T GIVE UP - Motivational Speech

DON'T GIVE UP - Motivational Speech

This motivational speech emphasizes the inevitability of life's difficulties and the importance of perseverance and fighting through challenges (0:16-0:44).

It encourages listeners to not give up, even at their lowest points, and to embrace a warrior mindset (0:48-1:25).

Key takeaways from the video include:

Life is hard and full of disappointments: Everyone faces valleys, losses, and setbacks (0:16-0:38).

Don't give in or give up: When facing pain, agony, or feeling like quitting, it's crucial to fight back and stand up for yourself (1:05-1:25).

Maintain a positive mindset and keep fighting: Stop letting setbacks derail you and continue to strive forward even amidst struggle (1:48-2:03).

Remember your "why": Reconnecting with your original dreams and goals provides the motivation to keep going, even when things are difficult (2:04-2:25).

Don't dilute your vision: Regardless of whether you're succeeding or struggling, stay true to your goals and vision (2:36-2:54).

Discipline leads to sustained happiness and success: Embrace hard work, responsibility, and sacrifice, as there is no success without pain (4:40-5:09).

Choose the hard path: The path of discipline, humility, and ownership ultimately leads to freedom and personal growth (5:44-5:57).

8 THINGS SUCCESSFUL PEOPLE DON'T DO | TERRI SAVELLE FOY

8 THINGS SUCCESSFUL PEOPLE DON'T DO | TERRI SAVELLE FOY

In this video, Terri Savelle Foy discusses 8 things successful people don't do to help viewers avoid common pitfalls and achieve their goals (0:06).

Here's a summary of the key points:

Don't live in the past (0:58): Successful individuals let go of shame, regret, and past seasons. Forgiveness is key to moving forward, as holding onto the past prevents embracing the future (1:09-1:54).

Don't let your environment dictate your future (2:03): While your current environment may reflect your history, it shouldn't determine your destiny. Decluttering and designing your environment for your dreams can lead to a more peaceful mind and increased productivity (2:08-2:52).

Don't wait for motivation (2:55): Action is the starting point, not motivation. Discipline comes from motion and deciding to act, rather than waiting to feel like it (2:59-4:39).

Don't blame your circumstances (4:44): Blame keeps you stuck, while taking responsibility sets you free. Successful people take ownership of their lives regardless of past difficulties (4:49-6:14).

Don't hang on to small thinking (7:02): Dreaming small doesn't honor God or challenge faith. Successful people stretch their vision to match their destiny, planning based on who they are becoming, not their current circumstances or past mistakes (7:05-9:06).

Don't keep toxic relationships (9:29): Negative people can drain you and hinder your progress. Successful individuals learn to love toxic individuals from a distance to protect their calling and make room for growth (9:35-11:33).

Don't wing it (11:40): Successful people plan for success through goals, routines, vision boards, and daily schedules. Structure creates freedom and helps avoid feeling scattered or unproductive (11:43-13:07).

Don't ignore your calling (13:31): Success is about doing what you were called to do. Even when feeling unqualified or afraid, saying "yes" to your assignment opens the door to purpose, peace, and impact (13:36-15:08).

Terri Savelle Foy encourages viewers to download a free list of 15 books successful people read to help cultivate the right mindset and habits (9:08, 15:29).

CONSISTENCY | A SYSTEM OF ATTRACTION

The devil doesn’t just fight your big moments — he fights your consistency. Why? Because consistency builds systems, and systems attract spirits.

Godly consistency (prayer, worship, scripture, obedience) attracts the Holy Spirit and strengthens your walk.

Ungodly consistency (habitual sin, compromise, addictions) attracts demonic spirits, until a habit becomes a stronghold.

For example:

A habit of drinking opens the door to the spirit of drunkenness.

A habit of lying invites the spirit of deception.

A habit of anger makes room for the spirit of rage.

That’s why spiritual warfare isn’t only about casting out demons — it’s about breaking ungodly habits and building godly ones.

Consistency is a system.

The devil knows it. God knows it. The question is: Whose system are you feeding?

THE SEEING EYES - (ACCESSING THE GIFT OF SIGHT) WITH APOSTLE JOSHUA SELMAN

The video, "THE SEEING EYES - (ACCESSING THE GIFT OF SIGHT) WITH APOSTLE JOSHUA SELMAN," highlights the critical importance of spiritual "seeing eyes" for every believer to navigate their destiny and receive divine understanding.

Key takeaways from the message include:

Understanding the Gift of Sight The Apostle introduces the "seeing eyes" as a divine gift essential for understanding one's prophetic destiny and receiving mysteries from the spiritual realm (11:52-13:19). He emphasizes that this spiritual sight is crucial for believers to thrive and avoid being misled.

Beyond Physical Blindness Selman explains that spiritual blindness is distinct from physical sight. Using the example of Bartimaeus, he illustrates that one can have open physical eyes yet still lack spiritual discernment, leading to limitations and hindering the activation of one's destiny (30:04-32:22, 18:51-19:21).

Consequences of Blindness Spiritual blindness can cause believers to stray from God's intended path, wasting time and effort on endeavors not aligned with their divine blueprint (20:48-21:51). He warns that leaders who lack this sight can unintentionally lead others into confusion and spiritual peril (25:57-27:22).

Channels of Spiritual Sight When a believer receives the gift of spiritual sight, two main channels are activated:

    1.  Dreams and Visions: These are presented as the primary indicators of a restored "seeing eye" (34:43-35:45). God uses dreams and visions to reveal the blueprint of one's destiny, while Satan can also manipulate them to cause misdirection (35:50-36:55). The speaker shares a personal anecdote of a dream that prevented a misguided decision (39:28-40:22) and calls for the purification and restoration of this prophetic channel (42:51-44:28).

    2.  Imagination and Creativity: This is identified as the second area activated by spiritual sight (55:41-56:18). Selman explains that God can inspire the mind, leading to prophetic ideas and innovations that can redefine civilization (56:39-1:00:11). He highlights imagination as a divine deposit enabling believers to perceive beyond the physical and glimpse future possibilities (58:02-58:21).

Confidence Through Sight The Apostle concludes that possessing the "seeing eye" instills confidence, allowing believers to discern true intentions beyond superficial appearances (48:28-49:13) and to remain steadfast amidst challenges, trusting in God's future plans (50:42-53:01).

5 Signs You’re Going to be Successful | Terri Savelle Foy

The video, "5 Signs You’re Going to be Successful | Copy These Habits," by Terri Savelle Foy, discusses five key signs that indicate someone is on the path to success and encourages viewers to adopt these habits.

The speaker first highlights signs that indicate a lack of success (1:02):

Hitting the snooze button multiple times (1:17)

Being consistently late and blaming traffic (1:24)

Having a disorganized space (1:34)

Messy finances (1:41)

Never finishing started projects (1:47)

Binge-watching TV instead of working on goals (1:53)

Failing to follow through on commitments (2:00)

Surrounding oneself with friends who gossip instead of foster growth (2:04)

Talking about big dreams without taking small steps (2:10)

Constantly blaming external factors (2:15)

She then pivots to the five signs of success (3:00):

1.  Obsession with personal growth (3:13): Successful individuals are constantly learning, reading, and listening to educational content. They schedule time for growth daily, even if it's just 15 minutes (4:47). Tom Bilyeu's habit of reading one book a week is cited as an example (4:11).

2.  Keeping promises to yourself (5:20): Building self-confidence comes from consistently following through on the commitments one makes to themselves (5:49). David Goggins' transformation is used as an illustration (5:56).

3.  Taking full ownership of your life (7:27): This means stopping the blame game and realizing that personal success is largely up to oneself (7:31). J.K. Rowling's journey with Harry Potter, despite rejections, exemplifies this (8:04).

4.  Valuing your environment (8:54): Success is linked to structure and order in one's physical space, relationships, and the content consumed (8:58). Dr. Benjamin Hardy's experience of cleaning his home and curating his environment for success is mentioned (9:34).

5.  Being future-focused and faith-filled (10:15): Successful people are laser-focused on their future, set goals, visualize dreams, and speak positively (10:24). Inky Johnson's story of overcoming a career-ending injury by focusing on his vision is shared (11:00).

The speaker concludes by encouraging viewers to get a free list of 15 books every successful person reads (12:09).

SEPTEMBER: A SEASON OF BIRTHING, HARVEST, AND TRANSFORMATION

September, the ninth month, carries prophetic significance.

Just as the ninth month of pregnancy culminates in delivery, so too does this season symbolize the bringing forth of what has been carried, nurtured, and hidden within.

The long labor of this year is not in vain; September brings whispers of harvest, transformation, and breakthrough.

Bearing Fruit That Remains

God is glorified when we bear much fruit and show ourselves to be true disciples (John 15:8,16). September is not just another month; it sets the pace for how the year concludes.

Like the farmer who first partakes of the fruit (2 Timothy 2:6), this is a season to enjoy the results of earlier seeds sown.

May your fruit in this season be undeniable, causing others to see that God is with you (Malachi 3:11).

From Caterpillar to Butterfly: Transformation

The caterpillar must eat, grow, shed, and finally transform into a butterfly. In the same way, we are being transformed from glory to glory by the Spirit of the Lord (2 Corinthians 3:18).

What once crawled now takes flight. September is a month of beautiful transformation; where you begin to soar in areas you once crawled.

Old provisions may cease (Joshua 5:12), but God is doing a new thing (Isaiah 43:19).

Birthing Brainchildren and Ideas

As a mother’s body changes to accommodate a child, so too must we endure stretching to bring forth vision.

What begins unseen becomes tangible at the appointed time (Habakkuk 2:3). This is not only about physical children but also “brainchildren”; ideas, projects, and dreams that announce their own arrival, bringing favor and distinction (Deuteronomy 29:29; Isaiah 8:18).

Pain into Glory

Labor pains are temporary but purposeful. They lead to life. Our light afflictions work for us a far more exceeding weight of glory (2 Corinthians 4:17-18).

Even shadows are proof that light is near (Hebrews 12:2). Every tear shed becomes a seed that will return as showers of answered prayers (1 Peter 5:10).

September is a reminder that God is a Promise Keeper (Romans 8:18-19).

Push Until Something Happens

A prophecy, like pregnancy, must be carried and delivered. To birth, we must push.

Spiritually, this means P.U.S.H (Pray Until Something Happens) - (Genesis 32:24-28; Isaiah 37:3). The earnest expectation of creation still waits for the revealing of the sons of God (Romans 8:19).

Don’t abandon your moment of travail; push until your promise becomes manifestation.

September to Remember

This month is marked by birthing, transformation, and access.

May you bear fruit that remains.

May you transform from crawling to flying.

May you bring forth new ideas and visions.

May you see pain give way to glory.

May you receive the grace to B.I.R.T.H (Bring Into Reality, Things Hidden).

May this indeed be your September to remember; a season of glory unveiled, promises fulfilled, and testimonies beyond measure.

God bless you!

FAITH DECLARATIONS FOR EXCELLENCE IN ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE | MARTINA ADERONKE FATOGUN

Father in heaven,

I thank you for Your Word is living, active and sharper than any double-edged sword (Heb. 4:12). I thank you because as I declare Your Word, it has the capacity to penetrate every part of my being and bring about desired results. Thank you for the gift of knowledge, understanding and wisdom.

I am confident of this; God has started a good work in me through my admission into (……Name of institution….……), He will also bring it to a joyful completion (Phil.1:7). I am anointed for ease and breakthrough. I walk in the anointing that makes all academic goals and divine accomplishments easy (Deut. 33:24). I am graced with the ability to break through all academic barriers. With God’s help, I advance against every troop and jump over every wall of limitation (Ps. 18:29).

I have the mind of Christ and the Spirit of the LORD is living in me. Therefore, I have the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding, the Spirit of counsel and of power, the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD. I am of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD! I have eyes that see with deep insight and ears that hear well and a sound mind that comprehends accurately (1 Cor. 2:16, Is.11:2). Therefore, I have more insight than all my teachers; I have more understanding than the elders and the light of God shines on my academic path (Ps.119:99,100,105).

I also declare that I can do everything through him who gives me strength. therefore, with God’s enabling power, I read, understand and have a retentive memory (Phil.4:13). The oil of excellence flows in my spirit, soul and body. I am able to understand all kinds of literature and learning. In all matters of wisdom and understanding, I am always multiple times better than industry standards. I always outdo my previous performance (Dan.1:17).

As I read, God Himself teaches me and gives me direction in reading. God guides me always, helps me, strengthens me, upholds me and gives me peace (Is.58:11; 41:10).  I am not a candidate for sickness, confusion, anxiety or fear during tests and examinations. Instead, I am bold with good mental alertness and clarity of mind (2 Tim.1:7; Ps. 27:1).

I boldly make these declarations because the plans God has for me are good, plans to prosper me and not to harm me, plans to give me hope and a future (Jer. 29:11). I seal my declarations with the blood of Jesus and dispatch the angels of God to quickly move into action in obedience to the Word of God that I have declared.

I believe and I say amen.

COMMUNION CONFESSION FOR HEALING, HEALTH AND VITALITY | MARTINA ADERONKE FATOGUN

Father,

I thank you for the benefit of forgiveness of sins, healing, good health, vitality and eternal life I have in You. Thank you for your eternal and unfailing love and for renewing my youth with strength and beauty (Ps.103:1-5).

Lord Jesus, thank you for all the benefits available through communion with you at the table of covenant. I am eternally grateful because Your body was broken so that mine is made whole and healthy. Your blood was shed for my complete redemption and restoration. I give honor to You LORD and take this communion solemnly; with reverential fear and a heart full of gratitude for giving me access to the throne of grace through the blood of Jesus (Heb.4:14-16).

Jesus, you said, your flesh is real food and your blood real drink (John 6:54-56). Therefore, I declare these communion emblems are now the Body and the Blood of my Lord Jesus Christ. I declare them sanctified in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. With faith in God’s word, and a heart full of thanksgiving, I partake of the body of Christ. I eat in remembrance that Jesus Christ died for me (name). … EAT ……

The blood of my Lord Jesus Christ, which was shed for me, preserves my entire being in good health unto everlasting life. I drink with a thankful heart in remembrance that Christ’s blood was shed for me (name). … DRINK…

The Bible confirms that because I am in Christ Jesus, the accusing voice of condemnation or the weakness of the human nature can no longer work against me (Rom.8:1). Instead, the life-giving Spirit of Jesus Christ quickens my mortal body. Therefore, by this communion, I declare that I continually partake of the virtues of life in the blood of Jesus.

Surely, Jesus took up all kinds of sicknesses, infirmities and carried all sorrows, and by His wounds I WAS HEALED. So, the sickness (name them) has been taken away from my body (Isa 53:4-5). God’s blessing is on my food and water (with no poisoning or allergic reactions to food and drinks) and He gives me a full life span. (Ex 23:25-26).

I am God's temple and God's Spirit lives in me. By this communion, the Lord has washed away every sickness in my body. The blood of Jesus washes away every habit, tendencies, mindset, thought processes, thought patterns and beliefs in me that are triggers for sicknesses and diseases. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the work of the devil. Every work of the devil in and around me is destroyed in Jesus’ name (1 John 3:8b, Exo.7:12). I decree that by this communion every disease passed down through genes or through dreams are swallowed up in victory (Exo.14:28).

I am born of God; I carry and manifest the DNA of the bloodline of Jesus Christ. Therefore, I
declare that I remain free from all wrong influences or negative patterns moving from one generation to another in the bloodline of my biological parents. Either it is passed on biologically, socially, emotionally, physiologically, spiritually, or by any other channel or means unknown to me but known to the Omnipotent God, I declare that THUS FAR, NO FURTHER in the mighty name of Jesus (John 1:12,13; Gal.6:17).

All that Jesus Christ now is, I manifest such effortlessly in my everyday life. I remain permanently connected to the bloodline of my Lord Jesus Christ and receive all virtues in this spiritual bloodline unhindered. I open myself to divine deliverance. Father, have Your way in my life now! Perfect those things concerning me (Ps.138:8; 1 John 4:17).

I declare that every signaling and metabolic crosstalk between my cells, tissues, organs, and systems aligns with health, wholeness, and vitality. My systems and organs especially my brain, my nerves, heart, lungs, spinal cord, kidneys, pancreas, liver, adipose tissue, muscles, womb, sense organs and all other major metabolite producers function according to original design before the fall of man which was restored by the blood of Jesus Christ (Gen.5:1; Rev.5:9).

All hormones, enzymes, metabolites and organokines in my body are of the right quality, secreted in the right quantities, at the right time, delivered to the right cells. (Ecc3:1; Ecc.8:6). I declare all the cells of my body have divine intelligence to understand and respond only to the appropriate language spoken by the different hormones, enzymes, metabolites and organokines. Any language spoken by my body systems either through stimulus, reflex or any other physiological means must align with the original blueprint as encoded in the blood of Jesus (Ps.19:3&4; 1 Cor. 14:7-10).

Just as the rod of Moses completely swallowed the rod of the Egyptian magicians, so my immune system swallows up and destroys every arrow of sickness, disease agent or its triggers in my body in Jesus’ name (Exo.7:12). All the Egyptians that pursued and followed the Israelites into the red sea were destroyed, therefore I declare that every disease passed down through genes are swallowed up in victory (Exo.14:28). The Lord has washed away every spiritual filth; He has cleansed all stains from my foundation by a spirit of judgment and a spirit of fire (Isa 4:4).

By this communion, my body is consecrated to God alone and imparted with strength and vitality. My youth is renewed, and my strength equals my days (Deut. 33:25). I am the righteousness of God (2 Cor.5:21) therefore I flourish like a palm tree, I grow like a cedar of Lebanon; planted in the house of the Lord. I keep flourishing in the courts of my God. I bear fruit now, even unto old age, and I stay fresh and green (Ps 92:12-14).

I legislate and seal my declarations with the Blood in Jesus’ name. Amen and amen.

The Buxom Tale | A Cautionary Valentine Story (Revised)

It was a few minutes to 6 PM, February 13th, 2009. I was completely drained—mentally and physically—and starving too. No surprise there: I’d spent nearly five hours perched on a makeshift wooden scaffold about 14 feet high (roughly three times my height), running trunk lines across the concrete ceiling of the BATV (Bauchi State Television) studio. That had been my life for the past week, and the workload was gradually sucking the strength out of me.

When I finally got back to my hotel, I grabbed my room key and headed straight up. My only plan was to crash early and recharge for the next day—another round of what felt like professional punishment. I was already fantasizing about a warm shower, picturing those gentle droplets hitting my skin and washing away the fatigue. My pace quickened with the thought.

Just as I got to my door, I noticed someone standing outside the room next to mine—a young lady casually dressed and scrolling through her phone. I assumed she either stayed in that room or was visiting someone who did. Out of courtesy, I greeted her. She responded with a voice so smooth and sweet it could've been recorded in B minor. Definitely a soprano.

I got into my room, ready to switch off from the day, but that random thought started knocking: "What if she’s... a working girl?" I shook it off—Nah, she looked too classy for that. Still, the thought lingered, and I found myself mentally rehearsing how to politely say "no" just in case. You know, the cool kind of “thanks but no thanks,” like the classic Kaduna bus bumper sticker: “Sorry baby, no time for love.”

I laughed at myself, took my shower, and chilled for a bit. Then I figured I’d hit a cybercafé to catch up on some emails and news while giving the hotel staff time to spray my room (those mosquitoes had been waging war on me the night before).

Before heading out, I picked up my trumpet. Oh yeah, I play. Didn’t have my Silent Brass mute with me, so I kept it low-key to avoid disturbing the neighbors. I value my solitude, so I was being careful not to be “that guy.”

Then came the knock.

It was the first knock I’d heard all week. I paused. Maybe it’s the staff coming to fumigate the room. Or worse—Maybe someone’s complaining about my horn practice? I quickly hid it out of sight and waited for a second knock. Nothing.

Curious, I opened the door.

No one.

Weird. I shook my head and turned to go back in.

Then I heard it: “Wait!”—a voice I instantly recognized. It was her. The soprano.

And there she was. Standing right in front of my door, blocking the hallway with her... presence. Her blouse couldn’t quite hide the lingerie underneath, and the sheer scarf on her head seemed more like a formality than functional. Her skin glowed, even without the sun, and her smile? Let's just say if it could be converted into electricity, Nigeria would never experience a blackout again.

Then she spoke: “Good evening.” And just like that, she stepped forward, like we were long-lost friends.

My brain kicked into hyperdrive. In a split second, I processed every Sunday school lesson, every sermon, every motivational quote, and every moral compass I’d ever known. I had a clear decision to make.

The little devil on one shoulder whispered: “Relax, she just wants to talk. What harm could come from that?”

The angel on the other shoulder said: “Bro, think! There’s only one way in and one way out. She steps in, and that’s it—you’re cornered.”

So, with all the calm I could muster, and a voice a few octaves lower than usual (probably from nervous tension), I said, “Sorry, I can’t let you in unless I know what you want to talk about.”

She gave me a look—a mix of rage and disappointment—and simply said, “Okay,” before walking away.

At that moment, I knew I’d passed a serious test. I wasn’t about to be a Samson to this… let’s say, modern-day Delilah.

Later, I started second-guessing myself—Maybe I was too harsh? Maybe I should’ve been more polite? But that doubt evaporated days later when the hotel porter casually confirmed she was exactly what I’d suspected. Apparently, she’d been stationed there for the Valentine’s season—looking for “clients.” My room started getting knocks from strange men, mistaking it for her “office.”

That verse in Proverbs 6:26? Yeah, it made total sense now. “For by means of a harlot, a man is reduced to a crust of bread…” Spot on. I wasn’t about to be somebody’s dinner roll.

Anyway, I’m sure that won’t be the last time I face a situation like that. But to anyone or anything like that in the future, my answer is simple: “Odeeshi!”

No chance. Not now. Not ever. There’s too much at stake. The vision is too clear, the future too valuable, and the God I serve too worthy.

Sometimes, the biggest victories are the ones no one else sees—the quiet moments when you choose purpose over pleasure and conviction over convenience.

If this gave you a smile or sparked something in you, feel free to share. Someone out there might need this reminder.

Cheers,

A Turn Around | Repost

I had messed up—badly too—

Did things I swore I’d never do.

I left behind what once was mine,

Chased empty dreams, ignored the signs.

I wasted time, I lost my place,

And shame became my daily face.

But one day, truth began to speak—

It broke my pride, made me feel weak.

I knew I had to make things right,

Though all ahead was fear and night.

With trembling steps and heavy heart,

I turned around, a brand new start.

I didn’t think I’d be received,

For all the hurt, the lies believed.

But as I neared my broken past,

Grace met me at the gate—so fast!

No harsh rebuke, no angry word,

Just arms wide open—peace occurred.

I asked to serve, to just belong,

But love had planned a welcome song.

A robe, a feast, a joyful sound—

Redemption’s love had wrapped me round.

Though I had wandered far and wide,

He’d walked with me the whole long ride.

TIME | A Rhymed Reflection | Repost

I strolled into a clock shop's space,

Where ticking hands set quite the pace.

Each clock displayed a different time,

Their chimes and ticks a varied rhyme.

One proclaimed, "It's nearly eight!"

Another said, "You're running late!"

A third chimed in, "It's ten o'clock,

Why are folks still in their socks?"

"Midnight now," a fourth one said,

"Yet no one stirs, all still in bed."

Confused, I watched their hands debate,

Each confident, none seemed to wait.

Amidst the noise, a silent face,

An old clock stood with humble grace.

Dust-covered, aged, and set apart,

Yet something stirred within my heart.

It whispered, "I am Truth, the Way,

Consistent through both night and day.

These others tick with fleeting might,

But I remain, the constant light.

They claim to know, yet miss the mark,

Their hands just spinning in the dark.

Twice a day, they might be true,

But I am steadfast, through and through.

My time is near, the end is nigh,

When truth will shine, and falsehoods die.

For those who walk the path I tread,

Eternal light lies just ahead."

Awakened from this vivid dream,

I pondered what these visions mean.

A call to share, to spread the word,

To live the truths that I had heard.

A chosen soul, a voice to raise,

To guide the lost through life's maze.

From shadows into radiant light,

To stand for truth, to do what's right.

So if you hear this humble rhyme,

Reflect upon the sands of time.

Embrace the path, let go of strife,

And find in Him eternal life.
