A Step In The Right Direction | October 2015

Motion is not progress if it’s in the wrong direction…

23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord,
And He delights in his way.
24 Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down;
For the Lord upholds him with His hand.
25 I have been young, and now am old;
Yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken,
Nor his descendants begging bread.
-          Psalm 37:23 – 25 (NKJV)

God is already in the future and He isn’t absent from the past;
Our history doesn’t overwrite His story...

23 O Lord, I know the way of man is not in himself;
It is not in man who walks to direct his own steps.
-          Jeremiah 10:23 (NKJV)

The difference between the winner and the looser in a lone goal victory is just one…
The difference between number nine (9) and number ten (10) is just one;
The change from single to double digits took just that one extra…

15 So on October 2 the wall was finished—just fifty-two days after we had begun.
16 When our enemies and the surrounding nations heard about it, they were frightened and humiliated. They realized this work had been done with the help of our God.
-          Nehemiah 6:15 – 16 (NLT)

As individuals and as a nation, may the wisdom to consistently take POSITIVE and PROGRESSIVE steps be ours this month and always.

God bless Nigeria!

I GIVE YOU ALL | Grateful For Life

Please click here to download

I  really don't have much to say as I begin this new year of mine but I hope the lyrics of the song below helps in an attempt to express my gratitude to God.

I GIVE YOU ALL
I give You all the glory, I give You all the praise,
I give You all the majesty, blessed be Your name.

When I take a look at all You have done
When I reminisce about Your goodness my Lord
Where other fellows have fallen and gone
You gave me the grace to sing a new song
To You my Father

Father I thank You, for choosing to set me free
Lord I praise You, for giving Your life for me
Before time, You knew who I would be
The more I look to You, the more of me I see
In true colours

For all that You give; Your faithfulness and love,
Your goodness and your mercy, Your favour like a shield,
The breath of life in me, the gift of everyday
Though I can’t repay, I’m here just to say,
In my own little way

I give You the glory, Lord I give You the praise
Take all the glory, Lord take all the praise

KEEPER | Heart Song (Repost)

Lord, I give You all the glory;
That my life has no worry.
In all my ways, I see you there;
That’s why I have no fear.
Through all of life's storms;
My outcome negates the norms.
In all the devil’s threats,
I will remain at rest.

Because He who watches me;
Doesn't slumber by day.
Because He who watches me.
Will never sleep at night.

Also He said "what I began I will complete"
Therefore I know I will not be obsolete.

Time to B.I.R.T.H | September 2015

By the ninth month, though unseen, the baby in the womb announces her presence in no covert manner...
As the delivery date draws near, we anticipate the arrival of the bundle of joy...

19 For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God.
-          Romans 8:19 (NKJV)

In the process of time, the baby grows from the invisible to the tangible...
The mother endures a great deal as her body changes to accommodate the growth within her.
As it were, the gentleman offering his seat to the enceinte shows courtesy to her
... and honor to the unborn and unseen child...

18 Here am I and the children whom the Lord has given me!
We are for signs and wonders in Israel
From the Lord of hosts,
Who dwells in Mount Zion.
-          Isaiah 8:18 (NKJV)

While in the womb, the child announces her presence;
at delivery, she heralds her arrival.
After delivery, the one once called "pregnant" is rightly called "mother"
Seems to me, as it is for the born child, so should be for the brainchild...

29 “The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but those things which are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law.
-          Deuteronomy 29:29

May this ninth month be the beginning of a fresh release of ideas;
brainchildren that announce their own arrival; bringing favor, honor and distinction to you.

May the grace to Bring Into Reality, Things Hidden (B.I.R.T.H) be yours this month on.

Thank You Jesus | Testimony of Divine Protection

We testify of God's Divine Protection;

Several weeks ago, on our way back from church, we were driving over the bridge (Berger roundabout between Utako Market and Wuse Zone 6 in Abuja, Nigeria) and a man overtook our car but the car in front of him wasn't going as fast as he was.

We were on the right lane on the bridge when he did this and as I sighted him, I took my leg off the gas pedal and slowed down a bit almost the same time my wife saw him and said "careful dear..."

It was raining that evening so the man's brakes failed him and he started to skid off the road veering towards us; he missed us by inches and toppled over the high sides of the bridge - we would have been pushed over...but God...!

It looked like a movie stunt as we heard the loud banging of the car as it fell over.

We are hopeful it wasn't fatal because we didn't see the car by the next morning.

We thank God for His preservation.

Now, our major gratitude to God isn't just for this one that we saw but for the several others He's delivered us all from that we do not (and may never) know.

Please join us in saying "Thank you Jesus!"

Persistence On The Eight Lane | August 2015

12 Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. 13 Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, 14 I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
-          Philippians 3:12-14 (NKJV)

To qualify as a country's representative in the 100 meters men’s sprint event at the Olympics, each runner must have won several other races
...after much vigorous training.
However, the medal for the final race is not automatic;
each runner on this track has to prove himself worthy.

24 Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it. 25 And everyone who competes for the prize is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a perishable crown, but we for an imperishable crown. 26 Therefore I run thus: not with uncertainty. Thus I fight: not as one who beats the air. 27 But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified.
-         1 Corinthians 9:24-27 (NKJV)

The runner on the eight lane may be closer to the crowd
but he is in no way a spectator.
He's the athlete, not them; thus he can not be distracted by their comments
(or their cheering) because his focus must be on finishing the race.
He runs according to the rules (e.g. maintaining his own lane) to finish his race in good time.

1 Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, 2 looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
-          Hebrews 12:1-2 (NKJV)

A runner dresses close to skin so as to pierce better and faster through the wind.
As we race towards the end of the year, it will do us good to travel light;
Clad in humility, joy, love, peace etc
On the contrary, anger, malice, discouragement, hatred, bitterness and the like
can slow us down.

May the Grace to run Persistently till the end of this year and all our years,
be multiplied to us this eight month.

God bless you!

#T.G.I.F | July 2015

3 For they did not gain possession of the land by their own sword, Nor did their own arm save them; But it was Your right hand, Your arm, and the light of Your countenance, Because You favored them.
-          Psalm 44:3 (NKJV)

It’s been 181 days of God simply being GOD!
#T.G.I.F | Thank God! It’s Favor!
But really, IF it had not been for God on our side, where would we have been?
Our help is from Him alone. (Psalm 124:1-8)
Thank you Jesus!

17 It will be a sign between me and the Israelites forever, for in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day he rested and was refreshed.
-          Exodus 31:17 (NIV)

It'll be 184 days of God being GOD as always!
#T.G.I.F | Thank God! It’s Finished!
God has paid the price to make the rest of the year, the best of the year!
Without God’s help, life’s journey is a tiring race;
With God’s help, life’s journey is tireless – that’s Grace.

When the Promises Are Mixed with Faith
1-3 For as long, then, as that promise of resting in him pulls us on to God’s goal for us, we need to be careful that we’re not disqualified. We received the same promises as those people in the wilderness, but the promises didn’t do them a bit of good because they didn’t receive the promises with faith. If we believe, though, we’ll experience that state of resting. But not if we don’t have faith. Remember that God said,
Exasperated, I vowed,
“They’ll never get where they’re going, never be able to sit down and rest.”
3-7 God made that vow, even though he’d finished his part before the foundation of the world. Somewhere it’s written, “God rested the seventh day, having completed his work,” but in this other text he says, “They’ll never be able to sit down and rest.” So this promise has not yet been fulfilled. Those earlier ones never did get to the place of rest because they were disobedient. God keeps renewing the promise and setting the date as today, just as he did in David’s psalm, centuries later than the original invitation:
Today, please listen, don’t turn a deaf ear . . .
8-11 And so this is still a live promise. It wasn’t canceled at the time of Joshua; otherwise, God wouldn’t keep renewing the appointment for “today.” The promise of “arrival” and “rest” is still there for God’s people. God himself is at rest. And at the end of the journey we’ll surely rest with God. So let’s keep at it and eventually arrive at the place of rest, not drop out through some sort of disobedience.
12-13 God means what he says. What he says goes. His powerful Word is sharp as a surgeon’s scalpel, cutting through everything, whether doubt or defense, laying us open to listen and obey. Nothing and no one is impervious to God’s Word. We can’t get away from it—no matter what.
14-16 Now that we know what we have—Jesus, this great High Priest with ready access to God—let’s not let it slip through our fingers. We don’t have a priest who is out of touch with our reality. He’s been through weakness and testing, experienced it all—all but the sin. So let’s walk right up to him and get what he is so ready to give. Take the mercy, accept the help.
-          Hebrews 4 (MSG)

Enough said.

 God Bless You!
