Fear doesn't always look like fear. Sometimes, it hides behind aggression, intimidation, and the need to control others. At other times, it shows up as silence, withdrawal, or the inability to stand up for oneself.
Understanding this doesn't excuse bullying, but it reminds us that what we see on the surface may not tell the whole story.
The bully needs to learn that strength isn't intimidation. The bullied need support to discover that they deserve safety, dignity, and a voice.
Different expressions. A common struggle. And an opportunity for courage, healing, and change.
The bully and the bullied are both scared.
They are only expressing it differently.

Now there arose up a new king over Egypt, which knew not Joseph.
And he said unto his people, Behold, the people of the children of Israel are more and mightier than we:
Come on, let us deal wisely with them; lest they multiply, and it come to pass, that, when there falleth out any war, they join also unto our enemies, and fight against us, and so get them up out of the land.
Exodus 1:8-10 KJV
