SUMMARY ATTEMPT | WHAT IS MONEY | THE SECRETS OF MONEY AND HOW TO ATTRACT IT | PETER OSALOR | CHAPTER SIX

CHAPTER SIX | THE SECRET OF MONEY AND ATTRACTING MONEY

11 Tips to Attract Money, Prosperity and Success

1. Share What You Have:
Share with people what you already have even if you have very little.
This affirms to your mind that you have so much wealth that you can even share.
Tithe 10% of your earnings to a person or organization that motivates, uplift and inspire you.

2. Free Yourself From Debt:
You must get out of debt, even if you need to sell your stuff - do it and never get back into debt.
Debt enslaves you to the person or institution you owe and locks you into the cycle of lack and helplessness.

3. Be Aware Of What You Say - Your Words:
Only talk about your finances if you have something positive to say about it.
Repeat Prosperity affirmations daily. E.g. I am connected to an unlimited source of abundance. I bless and prosper everyone in my life and everyone in my life blesses and prospers me.

4. Let Go Of Worry:
You can do it. Stop worrying about money, comfort, security and other material things. If you stop worrying about such matters by increasing your faith in God, you will find that you become a magnet for prosperity.

5. Health Before Wealth:
Health is our greatest wealth - Ralph Waldo Emerson
The healthier you are, the more confident and empowered you become and this attracts wealth to you.
Do what needs to be done to get yourself healthy, fit and vibrant.

6. Pay Attention And Be Mindful:
Observe nature to learn the lessons it has about abundance. Everything in nature happens effortlessly and the manifestations of abundance are everywhere. Train your eye to focus on abundance everywhere, rather than lack and your mind will manifest abundance in your life too.

7. Guard Your Thoughts:
Don't accept lack statements from the people you know. When someone says something like that, mentally reject their statement and instead affirm something positive. This will make your mind strong and it will be able to resist being dragged down into the lower vibrations.

8. Meditate On Flowing Water:
Meditate on the sounds of flowing water, such as a river or a babbling brook. The flow of water is the representation of the flow of money. Keep this observation in mind, only this one thought, when observing the flowing water.

9. Spend Your Money Wisely: Spend money to make money. Even though you may have very little money, learn to spend it wisely. Put the roots of money multiplication into your being.

10. Respect Your Money - Paper, Coins And Credit Cards:
Don't throw your money into your wallet  or purse. Money needs to be respected. Always keep it aligned without creased corners, wadded up or messy.
If you respect your money, it will return the favor by multiplying and growing for you.

11. Be affluent & prosperous in all ways:
Replace cheap stuff with wealth-affirming items in your home. It's better, for example, to have fewer good quality clothes than many cheap things to wear. Everything in your surroundings affirms whether you are wealthy or poor so make sure that at least your home is the symbol of abundance rather than lack.

Never forget that you are the president and CEO of your body and life.

SUMMARY ATTEMPT | WHAT IS MONEY | THE SECRETS OF MONEY AND HOW TO ATTRACT IT | PETER OSALOR | CHAPTER FIVE

CHAPTER FIVE | ENTREPRENEURSHIP

You cannot be wealthy while working as an employee, you have to be entrepreneurial.

Who is an entrepreneur?

An entrepreneur is an innovator; the person who develops a new product, a new market, or a new means of production. - Joseph Schumpeter

An entrepreneur is one who assumes the responsibility and risk for a business operation with the expectation of making a profit.

An advantage to entrepreneurship is the potential increase in income since profits are not shared with anyone but the owner.

Becoming an entrepreneur for the wrong reasons may cut short the expectations of a person who has moved into business.

Debunking Myths about entrepreneurship

As an entrepreneur, you do not do what you want but what your customer wants.

If you desire to make really quick money, entrepreneurship is not for you.

Your customers become your boss. Not only will you take orders from them, you will do as they please.

Business owners encounter much more pressure from customers, investors, employees and others.

If you do not have the right reasons for going into business, your chances of succeeding a very low.

Turning what you love into a business venture it's an amazing way to launch into business.

A person who intends to turn a hobby into wealth has to examine his/her various hobbies for one that people will pay for. Discover the hobby you are naturally good at and the market your abilities.

Questions to ask yourself when considering a hobby as a business:

- Will will you still enjoy your hobby when you have to do it to a deadline?

- Will you enjoy doing it when it means that if you don't, you probably won't have a roof over your head?

- are you really committed to this hobby?

- Are you motivated by a challenge?

- can you sell "yourself" or the things you produce?

Examples of hobbies that have wealth creating potential

Teaching

Writing

Photography

Beauty industry

Bead making

The Entrepreneur's Mix

Attitude: each of us has available, every single day, the exact same recipe for achieving our goals and dreams. That 'magic' is the awesome power of attitude, and it works in spite of our dreams, our goals, our pasts and even our level of education.

The meaning of things lies not in the things themselves, but in our attitude toward them. - Antoine de Saint-Exupéry

Negative attitudes towards wealth creation are the single biggest stumbling block in its attainment. To believe anything, even the accumulation of wealth, you must fully believe in yourself or you will never be completely successful. Making money takes focus and determination.

The power of your attitude

You are a simple product of the kind of attitude you have, because this attracts the kind of things that happen to you or how you react to them.

A person's relationship with money is s sure way of knowing the kind of attitude the person has. Since your attitude has a lot to do with what happens to you and how you respond, it is only logical that you consciously imbibe positive attitude towards money. In order to achieve a transformation, your thoughts and attitudes about money most points to the results you want.

Your affirmation statements have the power to generate sufficiency, abundance and inspiration in your life. The key is consistency.

Affirmation statements should be based on the reality you want to create. Devise positive statements about money, making sure they are personal, present tense and accurately describe the new reality you want to create. You could also describe these as confessions.

For example:

'money comes to me easily and frequently'

'I have more than enough money for myself and others.'

'I make lots of money doing what I love to do'

Attitude is everything

According to Dr Dennis Cauvier and Alan Lysaght in their book, The ABC's of making money, the trio of attitude, skills and knowledge determines one's level of prosperity.

Skills can be learned and perfected with time. The third essential factor is knowledge. This is learned through studying and learning, reading etc

Talents

Everyone is born with a peculiar gift or endowment, something particular to them which makes them stand out.

Discovering your talents, helps you find a passion for life. Discover what you are best good at and pursuit it.

Skills Needed In The 21st Century

1. Learning skills:

a. Critical thinking

b. Creative thinking

c. Collaborating

d. Communicating

2. Literacy skills

a. Information literacy

b. Media literacy

c. Technology literacy

3. Life skills

a. Flexibility

b. Initiative

c. Social skills

d. Productivity

e. Leadership

Business ideas and invention

Real money is an idea. Ideas translate  intangible values into cash. If you do not have value to offer, you do not have money to make.

Building your associations

Meeting people and maintaining relationships is a key way of ensuring that you have the right quota of assistance and help you need when the need arises as you grow in business.

It is very imperative for a personal who wishes to succeed in life, business, career etc to learn to manage relationships.

Learning to reach out to clients; would be clients, friends acquaintances during holidays and all the times like birthdays, anniversaries and even in periods of mourning, cause a long way to show the people in question that you are not just a flash in the pan kind of person.

Great business relationships have a reason from an individual's conscious effort to slowly but surely add brick after brick to the structure of relationships they have around them.

You must definitely meet people everyday and how you treat those people may determine the fall or rising of your chances at success.

Create multiple flows of income: MFI

In addition to your paid job, you should, as a matter of necessity, have another source of income. This is simply because there is no way in the world you will be entirely comfortable by having only one source of income even if you earn so much you cannot finish the wage in a month, there has to be a plan for later when you eventually retire, resign etc

SUMMARY ATTEMPT | THE POWER OF A PRAYING HUSBAND | STORMIE OMARTIAN | THE POWER

THE POWER

A husband's prayers for his wife don't have to be long and detailed. Short and to-the-point prayers are also powerful. That's because God has given the husband authority in the spirit realm that is unequaled. Whether or not his prayers are answered, however, depends on how that authority is handled.

God impressed upon my heart that, if I would be willing to lay down my life in prayer for Michael, He would use me to help Michael become all God had made him to be.

"It's not a matter of who needs to change, it's a matter of who is willing to change. If you're willing to change, I can work through you right now."

"I believe that if my father had covered us spiritually the way he should have, things would have been very different for our whole family," This realization has been instrumental in helping Michael to see the importance of praying for his own family. It has motivated him to pray for me. And I know I owe much of the success of my life to his prayers.

When we humble ourselves before God and let Him control us, then He can work through us. God wants to work through you as an instrument of His power as you intercede for your wife.

The power in your prayer is God's. When you pray for your wife, you are inviting God to exercise His power in her life. Your prayer enables her to better hear God's voice and respond to God's leading.

God wants us to pray about all things, but He wants us to pray according to His will. That's why it's important to ask God to reveal His will to you and help you pray accordingly. Once you have the mind of God as to how to pray, it's easier to pray fervently and persistently.

Your spiritual authority with regard to your wife and family is unequaled. Because your spiritual authority comes from God, it must be used the way God intended. It must be motivated by His love and have His glory in mind. All God-given spiritual authority has as its foundation a humility that desires to serve God more than to control others.

Whatever you don't pray about in your life you leave up to chance. And that's not good enough when it comes to your marriage.

SUMMARY ATTEMPT | THE POWER OF A PRAYING PARENT | STORMIE OMARTIAN | FOREWORD

FOREWORD

My mom has been a great mother to me. She prays for me daily, and I think that is one of the reasons I make it through school and life. One time her prayers made a big and wonderful change in my life that I never imagined could possibly happen. At my school, I had a classmate who was very mean and I never wanted to go near her because she scared me. When I told my mom, she decided we should pray together for this girl. I thought that was a good idea and so we prayed nearly every day until school was out and through the summer too. The following school year, a miracle happened and that girl changed completely, and she became one of my best friends. It affected my life and it was one of the greatest things that ever happened to me.
Amanda Omartian (13 years old)

Even if I didn’t realize it at the time, I know her prayers were covering me—no matter where I was and what foolish thing I may have been doing. She has grabbed hold of God so tightly in prayer every day that the enemy couldn’t have any of us, no matter how hard he tried to gain a foothold in each of our lives. Prayer has become such an important part of my life that I know it is something I cannot live without.
Amanda Omartian (23 years old)

I know my mother prayed my husband into my life. How great to have a mom who never ceases to care about the things I sometimes don’t even have the strength to address! I am blessed to enjoy what I do, and that is an answer to many
prayers. I give thanks to God—and to my mom for being so diligent to fight on my behalf, to pray without ceasing and trust that God would get me to where I needed to go.
Amanda (32 years old)

Of the many wonderful qualities my parents possess, the one that I respect most is their persistence in prayer for me and my sister and our everyday lives. Throughout all of my eighteen years, both of my parents have constantly been in prayer for my safety. I am eternally grateful to my parents for their persistence in praying over my life. It has truly made a difference in not only sparing me from danger, but also keeping me on the right path as an honest, moral person.
Christopher Omartian (18 years old)

When I look back over the past ten years, I cannot deny the awesome power of prayer and where I am today as a result of it. Without the prayers of my family, who defined what it means to pray without ceasing, I don’t know where I would be. God has poured out on me far beyond what I deserve. And I can truly say that the fervent prayers of my parents for me to have a deeper walk with the Lord are what brought it all to fruition.
Christopher Omartian (28 years old)

I am quite fortunate to have grown up with a mother and father who believe in the power of prayer. From the time I was young, both of my parents prayed that I would find a wife of noble character. They saw the importance of praying that God would protect and prepare her just as He was preparing me. And I must say I couldn’t be happier with the way things turned out. She is a direct answer to prayer. Over the course of my life, I’ve learned that being faithful to pray without ceasing is what leads to mighty things happening. It’s like clockwork! I hope this will be an encouragement to parents to sow seeds of prayer into the lives of their children and watch God work all things together for good.
Christopher (37 years old)

SUMMARY ATTEMPT | WHAT IS MONEY | THE SECRETS OF MONEY AND HOW TO ATTRACT IT | PETER OSALOR | CHAPTER FOUR

CHAPTER FOUR | HABITS OF WEALTHY PEOPLE

The successful man will profit from his mistakes and try again in a different way. - Dale Carnegie

You can never achieve success unless you like what you're doing. - Dale Carnegie

Habits are formed through repetition of action. Studies have shown that what a person repeatedly engages in for a period of 66 days becomes a habit that has been successfully formed.

Breaking the 66 days into three groups of 22 days each will help in categorizing what exactly you want to achieve and give it a timeline for the proper calculation of success.

The first 22 days are for identifying the new beliefs or new habits you want to form and starting them. The next 22 days are for programming the beliefs, ensuring that you remain consistent and the last 22 days are for reinforcing and maintaining these beliefs. Remember, consistency is key.

For instance, to form a habit of saving, write down a list of things that usually take up a chunk of your money which are not necessarily urgent or needful. By understanding your spending habits, you will be able to track the cause of your lack of extra cash.

Engage in mental activities by giving yourself regular pep talks. Encourage yourself to believe that you can succeed. Imagination, affirmation statements and visualizations of yourself accomplishing your goals, are all mental activities that will help you get to your desired end, which in this case is financial security.

Be detailed as you exercise your imagination in creative visualizations. You have absolutely nothing to lose when you engage in creative visualization. If you can win the battle in your mind first, winning it in reality will be less daunting.

Budgeting

Making money is only one aspect of financial freedom, knowing how to spend wisely is another facet that is very paramount in the quest for wealth creation.

Budgeting ensures that wealth is sustained and used accordingly and wisely as was initially intended.

Budgeting eliminates frivolities and impulsive spending; it is a disciplined way of handling financial resources. The issue of budgeting is so important, that nations and economies depend on it for the sustenance, smooth and organized running of their activities and responsibilities towards their citizens.

To create a personal budget, you need to employ the factors of priority and elimination. A table of preference will help you eliminate wants from needs and thus help you spend even better and more effectively. We all have income, and we have expenses and so without proper allocation of money, something may fall short.

As a business owner, you cannot treat budgeting as a triviality because therein lies the secrets to financial success in that business.

The key idea of budgeting is creating an outline for your money that puts you in control so that it does not control you.

Wealth building values, attitudes and habits worth imbibing:

1. Right attitude regarding money and finances

2. Having your assets and ideas make money for you.

3. Paying yourself first by setting aside 10% to 15% of your paycheck in a nest egg.

4. Using the money set aside to invest in assets that appreciate in value.

5. Learn from people who already enjoy long-term financial success.

6. Make a financial plan with specific goals and targets in mind. Create a timeline to realize your plan step by step.

Wealth can provide personal freedom to enjoy a higher quality of life.

Meet people's needs

When you are blessed with wealth and abundance, give something back in gratitude.

When you take time to help others, God will provide for you. Gratitude for all life has to offer enables you to realize the richness of everyday life and this motivates you to give back to the world. Let compassion and care be cultivated in you.

Helping the person in need sets off a chain reaction. Each person you help passes on the kindness and care to another person. While it is relevant to make deposits into your bank account, it is equally relevant to deposit into people's lives. As often as you can, invest in a person. Meet people at their point of need.

Problem Solver

By becoming a solver, you'll be joining a community of dynamic doers. Anyone can be a problem solver. So, choose a problem that matters to you, and start solving. The mystery with solving problems is that it opens up opportunities for financial rewards. Though it may not be immediate, it always shows up.

Saving

Taking out 10% or more from your income and setting it aside every time may seem like a tiny effort but the key to the results that will follow is consistency. Learn to have a personal budget and against all odds endeavor to stick to it.

It is necessary to put your money to work for you in order to experience increase.

Delayed Gratification

Freedom is not procured by a full enjoyment of what is desired, but by controlling that desire. - Epictetus

Delaying your gratification builds both your self-confidence and your self-discipline. Discipline is like a muscle that must be exercised in order to build its strength.

Seven Wealth Creation Principles

1. The rich don't work for money

A wealthy person works for and towards the big picture of their well thought out plan.

2. You can't build wealth without financial literacy

Commitment to financial literacy is a sign that you are ready to tackle whatever issues may arise as you climb the ladder of wealth.

3. Mind your own business

Wealthy people have always known or discovered along the way that the road to wealth is oftentimes, lonely and laden with criticisms and skepticism, that not withstanding, those who know what they are up and about are usually the ones who turn a blind eye and deaf ears to those diversions.

4. The wealthy don't run from taxes, they learn about tax advantages.

Learning about the benefits of taxation will help you discover how you can make more money from tax breaks knowing that you're not in error with the government.

5. Work to learn, not for money

Have a mindset of sustained success and not just a run of the mill financial reward.

6. Confront the fear and do it anyway

Learning how to master your fears and move on despite them, will guarantee you a fair chance of hitting your target.

7. Learn to overcome obstacles quickly and move forward without looking back.

Develop a bounce-back mechanism that enables you to get back up faster than you used to.

Seven ways to attract more money

1. Give money away

The more you give, the more you will receive. Give openly and freely to wherever you receive spiritual nourishments. Give on a regular basis too. The rule of thumb is to give 10% of whatever you receive, but it's also smart to give more when you feel inspired to do so.

Remember, give to the person, place, or group that has kept your spirit alive. Just ask "where was I most inspired this past week?" And give to that source.

Give money with an open heart and an expectation of return. Give in Love

2. Get clear

Most people push money away with their hidden limiting beliefs.

Getting clear is truly the "Missing Secret" to making the Law of Attraction work for you all the time. It isn't your conscious intentions that are being manifested in your life, it is your unconscious counter-intentions.

3. Take action

Act on your ideas. Now. Money likes speed.

If you don't act now, you'll see your idea manifested in a store some day and somebody else will be attracting money from it.

4. Support a cause

Most people push money away because they don't feel they deserve it. One way around this is to want money for a larger purpose.

Want money for a larger reason than your own ego. This is a beautiful way to attract more money without wanting it only for yourself. Realize that when you're wealthy, you are better able to help family, friends, your community and even the world.

A good reason to attract more money is for all the good it can do for others, not just you.

5. Get support

One of the wisest things you can do to achieve any goal is create or join a mastermind group devoted to it.

The idea is to be around people who can keep your energy and inspiration high. While you can make progress alone, it's so much easier when you have support. This support can also come in the way of audio tapes, books and other learning tools.

6. Be grateful

Be thankful for the money you have - which is probably considered true wealth by people starving in the third world countries - and you will begin to attract more money. Gratitude sends off a signal of appreciation, which brings to you more to be thankful for.

7. Do what you love

Following your passion is the greatest secret of all when it comes to attracting wealth. Ask yourself what you will do even if you were never paid. That's a clue to what you should be doing and of course finding a way to be paid for it.

Finally, expect success.

The mindset of expectation will keep your brain turned on to seek and find opportunities.

It takes an entrepreneurial mindset to keep you floating in money. The best way to be financially free is by becoming your own boss and determining your own income.
