SUMMARY ATTEMPT | YOUR CERTIFICATE IS NOT YOUR MEAL TICKET | PETER OSALOR | INTRODUCTION

INTRODUCTION

Formal education gives you a living but informal education gives you a fortune. He who is willing to humble himself, the hour of success awaits him. - The Midrash

The only thing constant in life is change. - Francois de la Rochefoucauld

Formal education may leave you with certificates, but you might not even know how to practice what you have learned.

Informal education provides a platform for experience and workability of what you know, practical, creative and futuristic and the last forever. These are applicable into the foreseeable future and can be improved daily from practice and innovation and create tangible things we need for our day to day life.

What we need into today's society
We need problem solving ideas, innovation, creativity and an. entrepreneurial spirit.

Your education and certificates are not an end alone, they must be backed by talent skill, creativity etc to give you a fortune.

It is not your certificates or credentials that guarantee success in the global/information age, but rather your problem solving abilities, your critical thinking ability that can design facts from fiction, your ability to learn and unlearn, your creative and innovative abilities and your lifelong love for learning.

The illiterates of the 21st century will not be those who cannot read and write but those who cannot learn,  unlearn and relearn - Alvin Toffler

It is more profitable and fulfilling to be your own boss and fulfill your destiny.

All you have on earth is time: please value your time and manage it wisely. The difference between the successful person and an unsuccessful person is how wisely they manage their time.

God gave the poor and the rich the same time, twenty -four hours a day; but the difference is how each chooses to manage and use the time.

The global arena is blind your credentials but is it worth creating slaves your skills and abilities.

Human Capital
Human capital is the stock of knowledge, habits, collections, resources etc

The type of education and training offered in society affects its level of human capital development

Human capital not natural resources, would be the key factor linking innovation, competitiveness and growth in the 21st century.

Do what you do to the highest level and be diligent.

No matter what certificate you have, you also have to be entrepreneurial in your thinking and attitude
